President's Message | December 2024

I have noticed your relatives’ names on the weekly yahrzeit list and wanted you to know that there are services every Shabbat with a minyan for you to say the Mourner’s Kaddish. There are many people who have no one to say Kaddish for them but your relatives do.

I would like to wish everyone a Happy Chanukah! I hope you will join us for the Community Chanukah Celebration on December 25th at the JCC. Please see the flyer in this issue of the Temple Times. I am sure you do not want to be left out celebrating with your friends and family. The fun and snacks commence at 4PM with dinner served at 6PM. Reservations by December 18th are a must since we have guest chefs preparing our dinner.

We will celebrate the beginning of the Festival of Lights December 25th at sunset. This Chanukah we will light Temple Beth El’s gorgeous copper hanukkiah in front of the JCC. Many thanks and much appreciation once again to Ed and Steven Kowalsky for bringing the menorah to fruition.

I would like to wish all our snowbirds a wonderful winter and to remind you we are only a text, phone call or an email away.

A warm welcome to Don Dresher for accepting a position on the Board. Thank you for volunteering your time and effort.

Please keep the remaining hostages in your thoughts and prayers as well as those who were released and those who have lost loved ones.

Happy secular new year to everyone,

Marsha
